Fright Fest, Castleconnell Village

Fright Fest is a local event held in Castleconnell Village and is happens each year on the October Bank Holiday. Kicking off from 6pm, the scary trail follows the path along the River Shannon, at the bottom of the Castle Oaks grounds.

Different groups from around the community are assigned an area of the trail to decorate and act in to ensure there is a mix of themes are scare levels throughout the trail.

This year the trail is expected to be busier than ever with over 2000 people passing through last year. Last year, tickets were a minimal cost of €6 per adult, €4 per teen and €2 per child and can be purchased directly from the ACM or from The Castle Oaks closer to the time.

For the first time, last year the Castle Oaks provided a BBQ at the end of the trail serving hot dogs, burgers, tea, coffee and soft drinks as well as some tasty treats. We had a section set up with picnic tables, heaters and even have live music to keep everyone entertained.

If you would prefer to remain indoors, we also served carvery in The Coolbawn Bar all day and evening with prices starting from as little as €10 per main.
