A scenic woodland loop featuring riverside paths, footbridges, and waterfalls, offering a peaceful walk through mature forest along the Clare River.

Glenstal Wood Walking Loop
A longer forest and roadway trail with elevated views across Limerick and Tipperary, passing through Slieve Felim with varied terrain and quiet natural surroundings.

Cycling is one of the best ways to experience the scenic beauty of the Shannon Region, with routes ranging from gentle countryside rides to more challenging longer-distance journeys. The hotel can assist with route information, bike hire contacts, and secure storage facilities for guests staying in lodges.


Lough Gur Cycle Route
A scenic countryside cycle leading to the historic Lough Gur area, offering a mix of gentle terrain and cultural landmarks along the way.

Killaloe – O’Briens Bridge – Ogonnelloe Route
A longer, varied route connecting picturesque villages and crossing the River Shannon, with rolling gradients and lakeside scenery.

The Hunt Museum

Located in Limerick City, the Hunt Museum houses one of Ireland’s most important private collections of art and antiquities, set within the historic Custom House overlooking the River Shannon. It offers visitors a rich cultural experience showcasing artefacts and artworks spanning thousands of years.
